Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10-upgrade.Can it be resumed?

I am upgrading from ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 with update manger(online).I want to know if somehow I canceled the upgrade midway,will it start from the very beginning or resume from the point where it was canceled??
