Why have British cops started wearing Kevlar helmets ( standing about AFTER the Raoul Moat killings)?...?

...Is it because they have seen the yanks wearing them on TV and want appear "cool"? Maybe it,s because they are afraid that they may bump into each other when they are stood about gossipping after yet another killing that they missed! These over dressed over rated clowns couldn,t catch a cold
