Am i good enough for the high school golf team?

I'm going to be a freshmen at barrington high this fall, and i would like to try out for the golf team. I've only played once a year since i was ten. Im 14 now. So ive golfed 4 times, and i just went twice more. So ive golfed 6 times in my life. My score on a par 72 is 96. I think i have potential to be good because some of those strokes are strokes where i just lost focus and forced a bad swing. I think i could easily take 8 swings off my game just by playing more. Golfers, do you think i have potential to make the frosh/soph team? My school keeps 15 players on the frosh/soph team
