A few questions on pipe smoking?

OK your first problem is you aren't using matches to light the tobacco.To prevent the flakes from coming through the pipe push the tobacco down and pack it pretty good.After you pack it you can poke a small hoe through the middle with a small wire to help it breath(there is also a tool you can buy from the pipe shop).As for the smoke it is meant to be drawn in and then blown out somewhat quickly.Hope this helps
