Looking for a smart sentence in Irish?

Is there anybody who speaks the ancient Gaelic language of Ireland and can give me some illustrating example? Could you please give me also the English translation and some phonetic transcription/ilustration? I am an English teacher from Germany and we are doing a unit on Ireland... any help is welcome! thanks in advance!
