My co-workers seem to disrespect me and take advantage of my kindness...why am I hated for being nice/friendly?

There is a vast difference between being a nice person and a totally pive patsy! You take it too far. If you become a door mat, people will step on you. Set a few boundaries. You can be good without being a goody-two shoes.
